Warrant	Heaven		One of the best band in the hair metal era, Warrant. They released their first great hit album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. Warrant composed one of the greatest ballad "Heaven" which took a hit at no.2 on The Billboard Hot 100 and gained largely female audience by their pretty looks:P
	Sometimes Shes Cries		In their album debut, there is another great ballad which could be described as the best power ballad "Sometimes She Cries". The song hit no.20 on the single chart.
	I Saw Red		Trying to compete with Guns n' Roses, Warrant released their second album, Cherry Pie and delivered the hard love power ballad "I Saw Red" which hit no.10 on Billboard Hot 100.
	Blind Faith		Although Cherry Pie already had a ballad hit "I Saw Red", Warrant still had another bullet to compete with Guns n' Roses by another great ballad "Blind Faith". The song hit on The Billboard Hot 100 chart at no.88.

W.A.S.P.	Sleeping (In The Fire)		Another seft-title album, W.A.S.P. this great metal band released their second album following their first previous album. This is one of their best albums filled up with high quality songs and great composition including one of their signature ballad 'Sleeping (In The Fire)"
	Forever Free		One of the best shock rock heavy metals, W.A.S.P. released their sixth album with more attitude, new elements, and focused on music rather than their shocking looks. W.A.S.P. delivered the best of their ballad ever "Forever Free" in 1988, The Headless Children.
	Hold On To My Heart		Despite of being the only band's original member left, Blackie Lawless released the band's fifth album, The Crimson Idol, in 1993. It was a concept album about life of a fictional rock star. "Hold On To My Heart" was a ballad of the album.

Wham!	Careless Whisper		Wham! is a band found by George Michael in the early 80s with his friend Andrew Ridgeley. The duo made the national success with the second album, which featured the no.1 ballad "Careless Whisper".

White Lion	When The Children Cry		Considered as one of the legendary power ballad, "When The Children Cry" is peaceful, smooth but yet power with beautiful guitar melody. The song surely hit no.3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
	Wait		In this breakthrough album, Pride, the Top Ten Hit ballad "Wait" are carefully crafted and composed. The song hit no.8 on The Billboard Hot 100 in 1988.
	Till Death Do Us Part		"Till Death Do Us Part" was a rock ballad from their 1991 album, Mane Attraction. Unfortunately, the album did not attract much publicity as the band expected and the album's sales was quickly drop.

White Skull	The Terrible Slaughter		Black metal band, White Skull released their third album entitled Tales From The North featuring epic melodies, gothic overtones with female voices. This album also captures one of their epic ballad songs called "The Terrible Slaughter"

Whitesnake	We Wish You Well		Whitesnake released their second album in 1979. Lovehunter was an album that showed the improvement in their style and skill. "We Wish You Well" was a short but well-arrange piano ballad used to close the album.
	Here I Go Again		Another no.1 greatest hit from Whitesnake, "Here I Go Again" is one of their classic ballad of all time. First was released under their debut album, Saints & Sinners, 1982, and was hit at no.34 on UK chart. Later re-released under Whitesnake album and hit no.1 on The Billboard Hot 100 in 1987.
	Love Ain't No Stranger		Whitesnake followed the success of "Saints & Sinners" with "Slide It In" in 1984. It featured the rock ballad "Love Ain't No Stranger", which hit no.34 on mainstream rock chart. The album itself just missed the top40 chart.
	Is This Love		In 1987, Whitesnake was on their peak with their album, Whitesnake. They delivered one of the best talkable power ballad and music video, "Is This Love". With the heartbreaking lyric and talented guitarist melody, Steve Vai, the song hit no.2 on The Billboard Hot 100.
	Still of the Night		Another hit singles from their blue-metal masterpiece, 1987, "Still of the Night" opened the album with great power ballad. The song became another UK hit singles for the band that year.

Winger	Headed For A Heartbreak		In 1988, high-quality musician group, Winger released their first album, Winger. With their high skills of music composition and guitar melody, Winger delivered the beautiful harmony in their famous ballad "Headed For A Heartbreak"
	Miles Away		Many people know about Gulf War love anthem, "Miles Away" is one of the essential ballad released under the Winger's second album, In the Heart of the Young, in 1990.
	Spell I'm Under		Winger released their third album, Pull, in 1993. The album contained the melodic ballad "Spell I'm Under". But the album was unable to produce any hit, and the band broke up not long after the album released.
