LED ZEPPELIN RUMOR HEATING UP

According to Toronto-based radio station Q107, these LED ZEPPELIN reunion rumors are really heating up. Original bassist John Paul Jones was seen at Trinifold Management in London, England recently with singer Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page apparently discussing plans for as reunion that will feature late drummer John Bonham's son Jason on the skins.

The last time the original three performed was on July 13, 1985 at the Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium, Philadelphia, for a short set featuring drummers Tony Thompson (CHIC) and Phil Collins (GENESIS). Jones has been noticeably "absent" during Page/Plant's musical activities post-Led Zeppelin.

METAL CHURCH's KURDT VANDERHOOF DISCUSSING ABOUT TIME WITH DAVID WAYNE

The Classic Metal Show, heard weekly from 9p-3a EST, featured the guys from METAL CHURCH co-hosting the show on Saturday, February 3rd. During this broadcast, late Metal Church vocalist David Wayne became a topic of conversation on the show. Founding Metal Church member Kurdt Vanderhoof and current vocalist Ronnie Munroe discussed a few things regarding Wayne and his legacy. Vanderhoof was surprisingly candid about how he and Wayne were not getting along at the end of Wayne's life, but that he felt that fact should not be misconstrued as wanting anything bad to happen to Wayne. Further, he and Munroe discussed how their remake of 'Watch The Children Pray' on their latest, A Light In The Dark, was done to pay homage to the fallen Metal Church Vocalist.

The Classic Metal Show: On 'Gods Of Wrath', obviously the vocalist of that song was the late David Wayne. I think every metalhead, and really any human being, shows respect and understands the sense of loss. As the guy in Metal Church that has been there since the beginning...well...he did some shitty things at the end. You know, with that album called Metal Church and the album art and whatnot. Is it easy to get past that now?

Vanderhoof: "There was a lot of bad blood between him and I after that; mainly because of things he did like that. But nonetheless, that's why we did 'Watch The Children Pray' for him, even though him and I didn't get along anymore. Still, when he passed, I didn't want anyone to misinterpret the fact that we were having troubles and we weren't getting along into thinking that I wished him any ill will. That's why we did that, and also because for Ronnie, it's like he's also acknowledging David Wayne, as well as saying, 'This is Metal Church now.'”

The Classic Metal Show: Let me take that over to you, Ronnie. It's pretty much a given that no matter what you do in Metal Church, you will always be compared to David Wayne and Mike Howe. Covering 'Watch The Children Pray' would obviously put a lot of pressure on you to cover David on record. How much pressure did you feel with that song?

Ronnie Munroe: Well, it really didn't put a lot of pressure on me at all. I just...I was with Kurdt on that, and I wanted to show respect for David Wayne because he did leave a very big mark on the heavy metal world with his voice. So, it was very easy for me to do, actually."

ZAKK WYLDE TAKING PART IN IMPROMPTU JAM IN SEATTLE

BBM's visitor has submited the following report:

"After three hours on air (with 'The Men's Room') at 99.9 KISW The Rock of Seattle [Friday night, February 2], and a great two-song acoustic session, Zakk [Wylde of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY] and company headed to El Corazon where he was supposed to just sit and autograph for a couple hours. He never made it to his station in the corner of El Corazon. He instead, went on stage where equipment was set up for the local metal show which was to take place after his time there. He started telling hilarious stories about Ozzy then proceded to tell everyone it was time to 'jam.' He grabbed part of the opening band and starting playing JIMI HENDRIX tunes for the next two hours. The few hundred people seemed to be much more happy with an impromptu show than an autographed CD."

Check out a photo taken at Friday's impromptu performance at this location.
