JETBOY IS BACK AFTER 15 YEARS

15 years ago, San Francisco rockers JETBOY had a breakup that left many fans wondering if they'd ever see the group return to action again. But in 2005, the band was asked to headline a one-off show for the "Hollywood Rocks" audio companion box set release party at the Key Club in Los Angeles. With a few phone calls to each other, all original members accepted the offer to do the show. With only three rehearsals under their belts and sounding better than ever, the band received an overwhelming response on June 22 from a sold out crowd. "We were blown away on how well we went over & the energy from the crowd," guitarist Fernie Rod explained. Then unexpectedly, the band was offered a deal with Cleopatra Records soon after they finished their set. Accepting the offer in 2006, they talked about putting the band back together and giving it another run.

The band booked a hometown show along with another Hollywood date at the Whisky A-Go Go and began talking about ideas and the new release. A few months later, the band was then approached by good friend Riki Rachtman to play the Cathouse 20 year reunion party this past October. Sharing the stage again alongside their ol' pals FASTER PUSSYCAT, L.A. GUNS, BANG TANGO and GILBY CLARKE nearly 20 years later, JETBOY rocked another great set.

With an outstanding response from just four shows, the band knew it felt right to do it again. The upcoming new release will include a chronological collection of demos along with a re-recorded version of their hit single "Feel The Shake". On December 19 in their hometown of San Francisco, they recorded together for the first time in over 15 years at Different Fur studios. The band also laid down a cover of "Folsom Prison Blues" by the late and great JOHNNY CASH as a bonus track (this track was a regular show closer on the "Feel The Shake" tour In 1988/89). These two tracks will be included along with old demos from their eight-year run on a yet-to-be-titled CD/DVD available this spring. The DVD side will feature a full set from a 1986 show at the Whisky A-Go Go in Hollywood California, a slide show movie of photos throughout the years, plus the making of the re-recording of "Feel The Shake" in 2006 including interviews with each member. The packaging, along with the slide show, will feature loads of never before seen photos from the early years, along with a extensive story of the groups history.
