SMASHING PUMPKINS NEW ALBUM TITLE, RELEASE DATE REVEALED
The relaunched SMASHING PUMPKINS has set "Zeitgeist" as the title of its sixth album, due on July 7 (a Saturday). The news was broken this morning to fans that had been added by the band as a "friend" on MySpace.com.
As previous reported, the new SMASHING PUMPKINS lineup will not include original members James Iha on guitar and D'Arcy Wretzky on bass. here
BBM reports that HEAVEN AND HELL has topped Pollstar magazine's Top 50 chart (issue date February 12, page 36), which tracks the ebb and flow of popular tours.
HEAVEN AND HELL's sole U.S. concert this spring, which is scheduled for March 30 at the Radio City Music Hall (capacity: 6,000) in New York City, officially sold out approximately 45 minutes after tickets went on sale on January 26.
HEAVEN AND HELL will kick off a world tour with 11 Canadian dates beginning March 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrapping up March 28 in Ottawa, with opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. Additional U.S. dates will come later in the year.
