PAUL STANLEY "I WANT TO CONTINUE THIS SWEAT FEST AS LONG AS I CAN"

Ninemsn has issued the following report:

Charismatic KISS frontman PAUL STANLEY will set tongues wagging when he touches down in Australia in April.

Embarking on his first solo tour outside America, the 55-year-old rocker will be spruiking his second solo album Live To Win.

While most musicians release albums within years of each other, Stanley has waited almost three decades to follow up from his self-titled solo debut Stanley launched in 1978.

Stanley's Australian visit follows his latest tour of the United States, his first solo tour since 1989, when he thrilled fans with tracks from his latest offering, plus some surprising selections from his enormous KISS catalogue.

"My first question was 'Can I get to Australia?'," Stanley said from his home in the United States.

"Night after night the fans across the US were blown away. I promise nothing less and pledge more. I can't wait."

While 'I Was Made For Lovin' You' and 'Rock And Roll All Nite' have kept fans across the US grooving, Stanley has also added spice to his show playing tunes that have never been played in concert before.

Stanley, whose career alongside fellow KISS frontman Gene Simmons spans three decades and boasts more than 100 million album sales, says he's having a blast being on the road again.

"The US shows were incredible and reconnected me to the reasons I loved live music growing up," he said.

"Between all the KISS classics, songs we've never played and songs from my two solo albums, it's an ultimate night that's as good or better than anything else around. I want to continue this sweat fest as long as I can."

Stanley begins his rock `n roll assault on Australian audiences on the Gold Coast from April 11th and will play in Wollongong, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, before wrapping in Adelaide on April 26th.

Tickets go on sale February 12th.

ROTTING CHRIST LIVE DVD ALBUM ON THE WAY

Sakis Tolis, ROTTEN CHRIST mainman, has told MetalZone.gr that the group's previously announced live album — which was recorded a year ago — will finally see the light of day before the end of 2007. The pioneers of the Greek metal scene put on two special two-hour shows featuring songs covering their entire catalog. These live concerts were held on February 3-4, 2006 at Blive Music House in Larissa, Greece and were the only shows to be recorded for the upcoming CD. The gigs marked the band's 18 years in the metal scene and fans from around the world were in attendance. The band also played a very special concert consisting exclusively of material from their first three albums — "Passage To Arcturo" (1989), "Thy Mighty Contract" (1992) and "Non Serviam" (1994) — on January 14, 2006 at An Club in Athens, Greece.
