Longtime GUNS N' ROSES associate Del James has released the following update on the status of the band's eternally delayed new album, "Chinese Democracy":

"The good news is that all of the recording for the album has been completed. Drummer Frank Ferrer and guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal integrated themselves into the recordings seamlessly and will have their presence felt.

"There is no official release date, as the band is currently mixing, but after some delays and scheduling difficulties, things appear to be moving along."

Rhino Records has indefinitely postponed the release of VAN HALEN's "Best Of (1978-1984)", the first single-disc compilation exclusively spotlighting 1978-1984, the group's original David Lee Roth era. The album, which was originally set to coincide with VAN HALEN's March 2007 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was supposed to contain over an hour of remastered classics from the albums "Van Halen", "Van Halen II", "Women And Children First", "Fair Warning", "Diver Down", and "1984".

MOTÖRHEAD has been confirmed for the Metalcamp 2007 festival, set to take place July 16-21, 2007 in Tolmin, Slovenia. More than 80 bands will perform on two stages over the course of five days of live music. The festival billing is shaping up as follows (in alphabetical order):
