POISON, TED NUGENT TO ROCK RIVER ROAR

Michigan's The Bay CityTimes reports that TED NUGENT and POISON are both scheduled to perform in Bay City during Dobson River Roar weekend, Chad Cunningham, director of entertainment for River Roar, announced today.

NUGENT will perform in Veterans Memorial Park on June 23. He will follow a June 22 concert by POISON, Cunningham said.

"We've always struggled to get top-end performers," Cunningham said. ''We ended up with two bigger than anything we've done in a long time.

"TED or POISON are fine by themselves. With both, it's just going to be a killer weekend."

Tickets go on sale April 21 for a one-day discount of $15 for POISON and $20 for NUGENT. Starting on April 22, tickets will be $30 for POISON and $40 for NUGENT. But Cunningham warned concert-goers to buy early; organizers expect both concerts to sell out quickly.

HAMMERFALL COMMENTING ON BASSIST DEPARTURE

HAMMERFALL have issued the following update regarding the departure of bassist Magnus Rosén:

"Bass player Magnus Rosén has elected to step down from HAMMERFALL to be able to focus on his own projects. While it is surprising, it's not a total shock to us since he has seemed to be unhappy with the situation in the band and on tour for quite a while. We wish him all the best with his future endeavors and turn our attention to the future, immediate and distant.

"This will change nothing for us as far as booked gigs and other planned activities are concerned. Rest assured, HAMMERFALL will continue blazing its trail just like before. The process of selecting the right replacement both musically and personally is already set in motion, and we will announce it as soon as a decision is made."
