ROGER WATERS NEW SINGLE "HELLO (I LOVE YOU)"

Brain-Damage issues the following report:

The new track Roger Waters has written and performed for Howard Shore's movie "The Last Mimzy" gets a single release (as a download) on March 26th.

"Hello (I Love You)" was created in collaboration with Grammy Award winning producer James Guthrie (The Wall, DSOTM SACD, and more), and the video (details below) shows Roger in the studio putting the performance together.

The song is the theme music to the movie (hitting US screens on March 23rd, and other countries from April onwards), and Roger said: "I think together we've come up with a song that captures the themes of the movie - the clash between humanity's best and worst instincts, and how a child's innocence can win the day."

The download will be available from Silva Screen Records, iTunes, and other download services. The soundtrack album for the film, which you can preview tracks here, is available to order through our special Amazon links: US/International, UK/Europe, Canada, France or Germany. VAN HALEN ROCK HALL OF FAME RECAP

VAN HALEN was among the artists that were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday (March 12) at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel ballroom.

Only VAN HALEN's second lead singer, Sammy Hagar, and ex-bass player Michael Anthony turned up for their induction, according to The Associated Press. Guitarist Eddie Van Halen has just gone into rehab and original lead singer David Lee Roth stayed away in a tiff over what he would perform.

Hagar said he wished his bandmates could be there, but "it's out of our control."

"It's hard for Mike and I to be up here to do this, but you couldn't have kept me away from this with a shotgun," Hagar said.

It took less to keep Roth away. He stood up the hall, reportedly because he couldn't agree on what to sing with the band VELVET REVOLVER, which offered a tribute. Joel Peresman, president and CEO of the Hall of Fame, said Roth was offered a chance to sing a song of his choice with the house band. "The decision not to come was solely his, not ours."

Hagar and Anthony joined bandleader Paul Shaffer to sing "Why Can't This Be Love".

The annual ceremony was televised live for the first time on VH1 Classic and streamed on AOL.com.
