AEROSMITH IS PRICIEST ACT TO CALIFORNIA MID-STATE FAIR

Leah Etling of The San Luis Obispo Tribune reports that this year's California Mid-State Fair will feature the most expensive concert tickets in the fair's history.

AEROSMITH performs on opening night, July 25. Tickets are going for $78, $68 and $52, depending on seat location.

AEROSMITH is the priciest act to ever come to the fair, said Vivian Robertson, the fair's chief executive officer. She would not say how much it is costing to bring the band to Paso Robles.

Previous high-dollar acts at the fair include TIM MCGRAW, who was paid $500,000 for a show in 2004.

The fair's AEROSMITH ticket prices look like a bargain compared to those for some of the legendary band's concert dates this spring. Resale tickets for their April 28 show at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas are going for $300 to $500 online.

GENE SIMMONS "I AM MORE IN LOVE WITH MYSELF THAN EVER BEFORE"

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons and longtime companion Shannon Tweed recently spoke to "Entertainment Tonight" about their decision to undergo dual face lifts that were taped for the second season of A&E's half-hour reality series "Gene Simmons Family Jewels". Watch the two-minute interview at this location (scroll down and look for video player on the right).

It was 10 weeks after the surgery that "Entertainment Tonight" caught up with Gene and Shannon at New York's Jean Georges Restaurant, where Shannon reassured "ET", "It is not as painful as it looks. [There were] a lot of painkillers going on. You get to sit in your bed, read magazines and have the children bring you food. [I took] sleeping pills because you have to sleep sitting up for three weeks. That is really hard. Gene only took painkillers two or three times. He didn't feel pain at all."

And was it worth it?

"I am more in love with myself than ever before," Gene said. "I have been delusional about my looks since I was a kid. There is no hope for me now. I am staying with me forever."
