GUNS N' ROSES ' show at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California on Wednesday, December 13 has been cancelled. "Sincere apologies go out to all the fans in Fresno who bought a ticket," the group writes in a press release. "We hope you can make it to the band's show in Oakland, CA at the Oracle Arena (formerly Oakland Arena) on Friday night the 15th of December, which will proceed as scheduled. Refunds for the Fresno show are available at point of purchase."

WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale was recently asked by a fan on the band's message board about how his voice has developed and grown over the years.

"I have always regarded my voice as an instrument and approached different songs tonally," Coverdale replied. "I love singing soft and I love singing hard (screaming?) and I love singing mid-range. It depends on what I'm feeling for the particular song. I have never been one for being the best (how can I be when there singers like Pavarotti ? Otis ???). I can only DO my best. I also never compare myself now to other times in my life as it simply isn't relevent to me. I subscribe to the expression 'it is what it is'. For instance, on the new song 'If You Want Me' , I took most of the bottom end out of my vocal on the mix to distort it more than usual. Why? Because I just felt that it was how I felt the song should sound...'distressed'. Some may disagree... That is not my problem. I can only do my best at any given time. Sometimes it's enough for some and sometimes it ain't. Recently, I was making a lot of interviews and I was asked repeatedly how I compare this chapter of WHITESNAKE to others. I said that's easy...I don't! It is what it is. Comparisons are unnecessary for me. Just do your best. Then you can look at yourself in the mirror when you shave!"
