VELVET REVOLVER's SCOTT WEILAND "NEW ALBUM IS COMING OFF AMAZINGLY"

VELVET REVOLVER vocalist Scott Weiland 's (ex- STONE TEMPLE PILOTS ) MySpace has been updated with the following message:

"I just wanted to give you all a little update from the studio on the new VELVET REVOLVER record. Having spent some time with the guys during pre-production and now most currently in the studio, I have to say that this thing is coming off amazingly. With producer Brendan O'Brien in charge of the ship, the guys are sounding awesome. More than once I've heard Scott say that this is the best album he's ever done and that he hasn't been this excited since putting out 'Purple' with STP . Right now I can count at least 5-6 singles and a bunch of other stuff that's killing it too. Slash is ripping, Dave [ Kushner , guitar] is killing, Duff McKagan , bass] is whaling, Matt [ Sorum ] is slamming and Scott is throwing it down hard."

OZZY OSBOURNE REHAB SHOCK

According to MonstersAndCritics, Ozzy Osbourne has revealed wife Sharon tricked him into going to rehab by telling him there would be a bar.

The BLACK SABBATH singer — who has been treated for drink and drug addictions — admitted himself under the illusion he was going to be taught how to drink, not how to stop.

Ozzy told Hello magazine: "After Kelly was born, Sharon told me about a place where they teach you to drink properly. I said 'Oh, what's that — the pub?'

"She told me it was called the Betty Ford Center. And I thought, 'That's it! I've been doing it wrong!'

"So I walk in, expecting to watch a demonstration of how to drink a Martini, and I say, 'Hi Betty Ford , can you show me where the bar is?'

"This receptionist is like, 'What?!'"

Ozzy has had a few relapses but insists he wants to be sober and is determined to try and stay off the drink for his family, wife Sharon , son Jack and daughters Aimee and Kelly .

He said: "I've been trying to stay sober for 22 years. Some days are bad and some days are great. I get up every day and I pray, 'Don't let me drink today.' I don't like it, but I accept the fact that I can't drink. It's hard, especially at Christmas. But all I know is I'm a very, very lucky man to still be alive and I appreciate that."

AC/DC NEW ALBUM NOWHERE NEAR COMPLETION

According to Undercover News, Despite reports doing the Internet rounds, AC/DC do not have a new record titled "Strap It On" coming in 2007, nor are they anywhere near completing the new record.

AC/DC fan sites and forums have been buzzing with the news of the new album title but according to Albert Music boss Fifa Riccobono , the rumors aren't on the money.

"I ran that past Mal ( Young ) some time ago and he said it was the first he'd heard of it, so I guess the answer no," she tells Undercover News . "Also, there definitely is no release date scheduled as the album hasn't been recorded yet."

While fans may have to wait that little bit longer for new music from Acca Dacca , the Australian indie chart is plastered with classic AC/DC albums this week.
