WARGASM "THE DVD IS COMING ALONG SLOWLY BUT SURELY"

WARGASM guitarist, Rich Spillberg has issued the following update via the band's official web site:

"The DVD has been coming along slowly but surely. I actually got myself involved in producing another album, and that has been taking my time away from the 'GASM DVD, but I have recently started back into it. The band that I'm producing is STEEL ASSASSIN. If you don't know of them, they were around in the early Eighties. They had a PRIEST/MAIDEN/SAXON early metal sound. I used to roadie for them long before 'GASM was doing it. They broke up in around '86 and recently the original members (except for the singer) all reformed to write and record an album. They asked me to do it. They have some interest from some labels here and in Europe, so we are trying to sort that all out right now.

"Yeah, taking these things on is great, but it does interfere with the 'GASM stuff. The way I look at it is the 'GASM package will come out and it is going to be amazing!!"

"As some of you may or may not know I created a myspace account for WARGASM back in February of 2005. The page URL is www.myspace.com/wargasm this is now where you will find MP3s for download and a message board dedicated to WARGASM!"

WARGASM's upcoming DVD will contain footage recorded at the band's special reunion show on Sept. 18, 2004 at the Middle East Club in Cambridge, MA. The DVD will also feature a documentary about the band, complete with vintage live material and other candid footage of the band.

WARGASM split up in 1995 after issuing their third full-length album, "Suicide Notes", through the Transmission label.

PAUL RODGERS LIVE DVD DUE IN SPRING

Bruce Simon from IceBergRadio reports that

Paul Rodgers is putting together a live DVD from his recent U.K. tour. It was shot at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland, on October 13th, and the sold-out show was the last one on the tour. The concert featured a mix of Free and Bad Company songs, as well as material from Rodgers's solo albums and a new track called "War Boys," according to a review on getreadytorock.com. No release date has been announced for the DVD, but it's expected in the spring.

Rodgers told us that when he's performing, he likes to include as many different sides of himself as possible: "What I try and do is include the best of, really. I can't really not do 'Can't Get Enough Of Your Love,' 'Feel Like Makin'Love,' 'Shooting Star,' 'Run With The Pack,' 'Bad Company,'you know? Straight away, you gotta be doing those. And then, of course, from my days with Free, I gotta look at 'All Right Now,' 'Mr. Big,' 'Fire And Water,'sometimes 'Wishing Well.'I like to throw some blues in there, 'cause I just like doing that."

For the tour, Rodgers was backed by a band that included longtime Heart guitarist Howard Leese, drummer Ryan Hoyle from the band Collective Soul, singer-bassist Lynn Sorensen, and 17-year-old singer-guitarist Kurtis Dengler from the group Electric Shades Of Blue.
