"Threshold" was recorded at Lundgård Studios in Denmark with producer Charlie Bauerfiend and is scheduled for release on October 20 in Europe and October 31 in North America. The CD will contain the following track listing:

HAMMERFALL debuted the new song "The Fire Burns Forever" — the track the band recorded with some of the Swedish participants in the European Athletics Championships — on August 5 at their exclusive headlining show at the Gates Of Metal festival in Hultsfred, Sweden. They also performed the track at the official opening of the 19th European Athlethics Championship in Gothenburg on August 6.
