RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS TO ROCK DISNEYLAND

Don Kaye from IceBergRadio reports that

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are contributing songs to two rides at California's Disneyland resort as part of an effort to spruce the attractions up, according to LiveDaily.com. The resort's Space Mountain ride, as well as its California Screamin'roller coaster, will both get makeovers that will include fresh lighting effects and new soundtracks. The 30-year-old Space Mountain will incorporate the Chili Peppers'1989 cover of Steve Wonder's "Higher Ground," while the band's 1999 hit "Around The World" will serve as the musical backdrop for California Screamin'.

The two rides will be renamed Rockin'Space Mountain and Rockin'California Screamin'for the duration of the promotion, which is expected to last for several months.

The songs were remixed by the Chili Peppers'sound engineer, Ryan Hewitt, to synchronize them properly with the rides.

The Chili Peppers will begin a winter tour with Gnarls Barkley on January 12th in Oklahoma City.

The latest Chili Peppers album, Stadium Arcadium, has sold over 1.5 million copies since its release last May. The CD's new single is "Snow (Hey Oh)."
