VELVET REVOLVER TO PLAY ITALY HEINEKEN JAMMIN FEST ?
Last.fm reports that VELVET REVOLVER will join PEARL JAM and the RACONTEURS at this summer's Heineken Jammin' Festival in Mestre, Italy. The festival will be held at the Parco San Giuliano on June 23-24. It should be noted that this tour date has not been officially confirmed by the band or its management.
SHADOWS FALL will release their new album, "Threads of Life", on April 2 in Europe via Roadrunner Records and April 3 in North America via Atlantic Records. The CD will include the songs "Redemption", "Burning the Lives", "Another Hero Lost" and "Venomous". The band irecently wrapped up the mixing process with Zeuss (HATEBREED, UNEARTH). Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER) produced the disc in Los Angeles at Dave Grohl's Studio 606.
Belgovision announced that LORDI are one of the scheduled performers at a huge musical television show that will be broadcast on Saturday, March 24 from the Esplanade of the Atomium in Belgium. The three-hour program, which will air on Belgium's Flemish and French channels VRT and RTBF, will feature thirty of Europe's top artists, including THE CORRS, SIMPLY RED, KIM WILDE and JULIO IGLESIAS. All of them will provide a musical spectacle under the balls of the Atomium. In addition to the concert, exhibitions and other initiatives will be held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. On 25th March 1957, two treaties were signed in Rome by Belgium, France, West Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, founding the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Atomic Energy Community.
