BBM reports that Lost and Found Records has reissued a limited (500 copies), one-time pressing of the rare INTRUDER "Escape from Pain" EP, which has been completely remixed and remastered by original producer Tom Harding. Recorded in 1990 as a way for the Tennessee-based metal group to get back on the road to play live, the original Metal Blade pressing itself was made available in limited numbers and has become quite a collector's item. This fully licensed release from Metal Blade Records features extra liner notes and song commentary from drummer John Pieroni.
Like many other thrash bands, INTRUDER faded away in the early Nineties, reforming in 2002 for a few shows and metal fests, according to BNR Metal Pages. Their best album is probably 1991's "Psycho Savant".
AEROSMITH, VELVET REVOLVER CONFIRMED FOR ARGENTINA QUILMES ROCK FEST
According to Ticketek Argentina, VELVET REVOLVER and AEROSMITH have been confirmed for the Quilmes Rock '07 festival, set to take place April 15 at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
VELVET REVOLVER hopes to release "Libertad" in early May. Weiland is also working on his second solo album, which he said will surface sometime in 2008 on his own label, Softdrive Records.
TANKARD TO RELEASE 'BEST CASE SCENARIO: 25 YEARS IN BEERS'
TANKARD will enter Stage One studios in Borgentreich, Germany in late March with producer Andy Classen (DEW-SCENTED, CALLENISH CIRCLE, TANKARD, OCCULT) to record new versions of their biggest "hits" — from "(Empty) Tankard" and "Chemical Invasion" to "The Morning After" and "Space Beer". The resulting collection, "Best Case Scenario: 25 Years In Beers", is scheduled for release in late June/early July through AFM Records, with a special limited first edition set to include the bonus CD "A Tribute to Tankard", featuring cover versions of 18 TANKARD songs performed by such artists as SACRED STEEL, MANTICORA, ABANDONED, PARADOX, COURAGEOUS and SCORNAGE.
