GREAT WHITE NEW ALBUM AND TOUR 2007

Great White guitarist talked about the incident happened in a Rhode Island Night Club in 2003 that "it was a full-blown American Tragedy." The incident was caused by the band's firework and killed 100 people, nearly 300 injured. Fortunately, the band did not face criminal charges; however, nearly 300 people are suing the band for compensation.

About their new album, Mark Kendall says that "Great White's original lineup has re-formed and has written new music for an album they will record before the end of the year." He says the band might tour on January, but not sure about stopping at Rhode Island. Kendall also mentions that " money from the tour will go to a fund to benefit survivors' families and victims. There will be no pyrotechnics." He says "I was sad to be a witness to the fire and it was "just a nightmare." those people in the club were like friends to the band, not just rock fans."

"We are performing [a cover of CHEAP TRICK 's] 'Surrender' which will appear in the new film 'Employee of the Month' , which comes out Oct. 6. The band on 'Leno' will also include core FREDDY members Donovan Leitch , Billy Morrison and Chris Chaney .

"Hope you all tune in.

"The VELVET REVOLVER stuff is coming along. [Producer] Rick Rubin came down yesterday to listen to some of our new material. Also starting talks about our new album cycle. New website design, photos, new merchandise etc. So a lot of new things in the works. Also some possible merch for Christmas. So look for that as well. I'll keep you posted on where to find it."

The working title for the new VELVET REVOLVER disc remains "Libertad" , although Sorum previously dismissed Weiland 's statements that it will be a concept record.

"You know, Scott said something about a concept album," Sorum told ABC Radio 's ePrep . "But you know, the concept is let's get it done, you know what I mean? (laughs)"
