Kamelot's guitarist, Thomas Youngblood has posted the following message:

"I am flying back from some intense and very productive recording sessions with producer Sascha Paeth in Wolfsburg, Germany. We are flying over one of nature's most beautiful sites, a crystal clear view and fly over of Greenland. We can see glaziers and mountains for miles, no human presence seems to be seen anywhere. Breathless!

"The new album is going killer, folks. Casey [ Grillo ] is due to finish drums in the next two weeks. He returns to Gate Studios for the first time since the 'Karma' album.

"After months of work, the new DVD and live CD is finally out [in Europe]! Thanks to all the help we got from Patric Ullaeus and the various artists that help with the packaging and content."

Due to "production issues," the North American release date for KAMELOT 's first-ever DVD and double live CD, entitled "One Cold Winter's Night" , was moved from October 24 to December 4. A trailed for the DVD is available at the band's KamTV channel on YouTube.com .

"One Cold Winter's Night" was recorded on February 11, 2006 at the historic Rockefeller Musichall in Oslo, Norway. KAMELOT enlisted renowned film and video director Patric Ullaeus ( DIMMU BORGIR , LACUNA COIL , IN FLAMES ) to chronicle the night's events. Bringing with him from Gothenberg, Sweden, Patric had a large crew of professionals and equipment, including 18 cameras, that would be used in and around the concert grounds.

According to MelodicRock.com , the previously announced Double Trouble tour of Australia, featuring THIN LIZZY and CHEAP TRICK , has been cancelled. Refer to point of purchase for a full ticket refund.

As previously reported, THIN LIZZY has been added to to the bill for next year's DEEP PURPLE / STYX U.K. tour. The band's current lineup includes vocalist/guitarist John Sykes , guitarist Scott Gorham , bassist Marco Mendoza and drummer Michael Lee . The band recently commemorated the 20th year since THIN LIZZY mainman Phil Lynott 's passing by dedicating and performing 20 dates in remembrance of their late frontman. Dubbed the "20/20 Tour" , the trek saw the band hammering out all of the greatest hits and a few rarities.

Pink Floyd's website has issued the following message:

At 9pm last night (Thursday) a very unusual item went on offer on the auction website, eBay.co.uk , in aid of a very worthy charity.

With just thirty minutes to go before they hit the London stage with their headline making reunion performance, the four past and present members of Pink Floyd were busy backstage. Not with going over the lyrics, or practicing guitar chords, but signing nine copies of the commemorative programme from the event in their dressing room!

One of these nine went to British Airways for their children's charity. Shuki Sen, for and on behalf of Pink Floyd Management, very kindly gave Oxfam one of the remaining eight, very rare signed programmes for their charity auction.

Oxfam GB is a development, relief, and campaigning organisation that works with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering around the world. They believe that everyone is entitled to a life of dignity and opportunity; and they work with poor communities, local partner organisations, volunteers, and supporters to make this a reality. Oxfam's goal is a world where every person is: Secure, Skilled, Equal, Safe, Healthy, Heard.

The auction, which runs for ten days (finishing at 9pm GMT on November 19th), is a very rare opportunity to get your hands on a genuine set of the band's autographs, obtained during a momentous day, whilst helping Oxfam to raise the maximum amount of money to help the work they do in impoverished countries.
