KISS 2007 GREAT EXPECTATIONS!

KISSNews.de has posted the amazing update: here is a list of what KISS fans can except in 2007:

January: DVD: Clip collection Lick It Up
This one should have been released already earlier this year, but due to the many KISS releases it was pushed back. The release date in Japan is set for January 31st, 2007. Release dates in other countries are still to be announced, but they should be no later than end of January.

Gene Simmons Rock School 2 on DVD (?)
The second season of Rock School should be available on DVD shortly...

KISSology Vol.2 (1977 - 1992)
The second volume of KISSology is expected for around May 2007. As Gene said, the second volume will be released within' 6-8 months.

Gene Simmons 150 Song Monster Box Set
Already back in 2004 Gene Simmons talked about his Monster Box Set containing 100 songs. In the meantime he is already talking about 150 songs. Two of them can be heard on the Gene Simmons Family Jewels Deluxe Edition DVD Box. Sometime in 2007 this Box Set could be finally released....

Paul Stanley live DVD
The show was already taped, and if Paul decides to do some more solo-shows, the DVD hopefully will be released by then. Let's just hope it doesn't take forever like it took for Rock The Nation to be released. Other bands already proved, that you can release a great DVD within' just a few weeks.

Kiss Tour 2007 (?)
If you do believe Paul Stanley and the rumours, Kiss will tour next year, possibly in a more original line-up. According to rumours, they could be doing a Co-Headline tour with bands such as Def Leppard or Queen. Most likely they will not get the idea to do a Headline-tour with a new album in original line-up with a new stage with new costumes and new effects...

Paul Stanley Solo Tour 2007 (?)
There is talk about Paul Stanley doing shows in Europe, such as the Sweden Rock Festival in the summer of 2007. Playing Festivals would be a great opportunity for Paul to come over to Europe and add some more club shows afterwards... as long as KISS are not touring at that time.

Ace Frehley Solo CD (?)
Ace has been working on a new album for over 10 years now. According to rumours it should be finally finished and ready to be released. Let's hope...

Peter Criss Solo CD (?)
Also Peter has been working on his solo album for quite a few years already. He recently mentioned, that it is finally being released within' the next few months. OK...

Bruce Kulick Solo Album
Bruce also wants to do another album in 2007. Although you might be wondering whatever happened to his book he started writing some years ago, his solo album is the most likely to be really released next year.

Kissology Vol.3 (1993 - 2007)
In time for X-mas next year, volume 3 of Kissology should hit the stores.

Kiss Alive IV
Although nobody has mentioned it yet, you can expect Kiss Alive IV - the Millennium concert - to be released also as a single disc later on. And it would not be surprising if it will contain extra bonus material. It was done before with Kiss Symphony and it would be common business for a record company.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels 2 auf DVD (?)
The second season of Gene Simmons Family Jewels could also be released in 2007...

HELIX CHRISTMAS PRESENT TO FANS

Brian Vollmer, singer for Canuck rock legends HELIX, has issued the following update:

"Next Wednesday (November 29th) we will be giving an early Christmas present to Helix fans. As a thank-you for all your support throughout the year, we have recorded a brand new song that we will be posting next Wednesday on our MySpace site . You will be able to listen to the song in it's entirety and also to download the song if you would like. The song came about after an hour long conversation I had with Michael Ivarsson of Sweden Rock Festival a couple of weeks ago. We were discussing the possibility of bringing Helix back to Europe next summer. The conversation ended with Michael suggesting that we write a song called “Fill Your Head With Rock”. 3 years ago Kim Mitchell wrote a song with the same title and it became the theme song of the festival. Michael hopes that every year a different band writes a different song with that title. I got off the phone and thought, “I think Gord, Steve, and I already have a lick that chorus will fit.” Within short time I had written the verses and chorus and then Iphoned Gord to tell him my idea. Gord then took that idea and wrote the lead rhythm in his head. A couple of days later the three of us got together and before too long the song was finished. Last Thursday we went into EMAC Studios and recorded the song.

So the song is to thank you-our fans-for your loyal support throughout 2006; one of the band's best. After a successful return to Europe in 2005 we started off this year with a two week tour through western Canada in support of my autobiography Gimme An R! followed by an eastern Canadian tour in support of ALICE COOPER. We also played several major festivals this summer with such notables as THE SWEET, VINCE NEIL, QUIET RIOT and LOU GRAMM. In October the new Trailer Park Boy's movie The Big Dirty featured our 1983 hit song 'Heavy Metal Love' and just last month Planet Helix was featured on MTV Cribs. We released our new CD Get Up! in early November and so the CDs have been blowing out of here."
