THUNDER NEW SINGLE UPDATED

THUNDER check in with the following update:

"Dear Friend/Business Associate/Thunder Fan/Family Member/Hitherto Hated But Suddenly Muchly Appreciated Ex-Girlfriend (you know which one you are),

We know we're in danger of sounding like a cracked record and getting on your nerves now, but...

If you've bought the fab new Thunder single 'The Devil Made Me Do It', we would like to thank you very much for doing so, and of course apologise for asking you again. If you haven't bought it we need your help NOW.

This single is a massive thing for us, because the position we gain in the chart will either help to open (or close) a lot of doors for us and the campaign for our new LP (which is stonking). So as you can see it's vital that we get the highest position we can achieve, and as we've only got one week to do it, we don't want to leave any furrow unploughed so to speak. SO PLEASE BUY IT.

You can get it in all good shops, but if you'd prefer not to go out to get it, you can get in online via Townsend Records, or via download, by clicking on the links below.

Absolutely all sales will count towards the eventual chart position.

For CD versions click here . Or alternativly you can download them from iTunes : CD1 , CD2 .

The download version is only 79p and if you buy it you might win an iPod Nano too (see competitions page for news on iPod competition).

You can get the download version simply by clicking here .

Thanks for reading this, we only have a couple of days left to make a difference, for the chart position will be decided on Saturday afternoon, after that we promise to leave you alone, for a while at least...

Thanks again & sorry for going on..

Luke, Danny, Ben, Harry & Chris - aka Thunder."

LARS ULRICH "NEW ALBUM SOUNDS VERY LIVELY, VERY SPUNKY, GOT A LOT OF ENERGY"

Launch Radio Networks reports:

METALLICA has written about 25 songs for it's ninth studio effort and is now concentrating on trimming that list to one album's worth of material, which it will begin recording in January.

Drummer Lars Ulrich told Launch on Tuesday (December 5th) that the band's summer European tour, on which Metallica played its classic 1986 album Master Of Puppets in its entirety, paved the way for the sound of the new album.

"What I hear sounds very lively, very spunky, got a lot of energy," he said. "I think that the shows we played over the summer, we were definitely leaner and kind of in better shape than we've been in a long time. I mean, having to deliver Master Of Puppets for three months this summer definitely revitalized some of that stuff in us, and it's been kind of fun having that in the back of our mind as we've been going through this process. I don't know what else to say."

Ulrich also said that he's "taken the drums out of the cardboard boxes" this time, and that lead guitarist Kirk Hammett will lay down guitar solos on this record.

Metallica's new album is due in late 2007. The effort will be produced by Rick Rubin.

QUEEN AND PAUL RODGERS "MOVING AHEAD WITH NEW MUSIC"

Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Bruce Simon:

If all goes well, QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS will grace us with new music on tour next summer. The group has been in the studio this year, and Queen guitarist Brian May told Britain's Sky News, "The tracks seems to be coming out very well, so we'll have to think about whether this is an entire album, or whether it's just a few tracks, and there's a possibility we'll go out on tour next summer as well. We're thinking about that."

May didn't say when tourdates might be announced, nor did he say when they might release the new material.

Rodgers first hooked up with May at the 50th anniversary concert for the Fender Stratocaster guitar in London in September 2004, where May backed Rodgers on the Free song 'All Right Now'.

Both men felt an instant chemistry, and it was confirmed a few weeks later when Queen was inducted into the U.K. Music Hall Of Fame. At that event, Rodgers joined May and drummer Roger Taylor for versions of 'All Right Now' and Queen's 'We Will Rock You', and things went so well that everyone decided to take the relationship forward.

The group, which played both Queen songs and material from Rodgers's days with FREE and BAD COMPANY, did two shows in the US in the fall of 2005, before mounting a proper North American tour earlier this year.
